Op-Ed on European Media Freedom Act Authored by MJRC’s Director Featured in Leading Media Across Europe
With the publication of the European Media Freedom Act, the European Commission took a pivotal step in legislating the media field. Marius Dragomir, director of Media and Journalism Research center, welcomes the new act in his latest Euronews op-ed, but has some caveats to share, while explaining what EMFA needs to have impact on media capture. Signaling the Act’s importance, the op-ed has been published in several leading national publications in Europe, namely in Gazeta Wyborcza (Poland), Publico (Portugal), Dnevnik (Bulgaria), Yahoo News (United Kingdom), Altinget (Denmark), Tagesspiegel ( Germany), Poslovni dnevnik(Croatia), Dennik SME (Slovakia), and Zaman Belcika (Belgium, in Turkish).
