The Media and Journalism Research Center is evolving into a decentralized, crypto-native think tank. MJRC DAO is our new governance and funding structure — designed to protect editorial independence, promote collaborative research, and build a new model for media accountability in the digital age.

Mission

MJRC DAO exists to:

  • Defend independent journalism from state and corporate capture
  • Fund public-interest research on media, democracy, and disinformation
  • Empower a global community of researchers, technologists, and citizens
  • Use Web3 tools to ensure transparency, resilience, and collective governance

How It Works

We use a decentralized governance model based on a custom $MJRC token and a shared Constitution. Token holders can:

  • Vote on proposals
  • Allocate research funding
  • Approve strategic directions
  • Elect or recall core contributors
