Media and Journalism Research Center Launches Audio Briefs, A New Way to Explore Our Media Research
Our center specializes in producing research on media systems, tracking ownership and influence, and promoting accountability—while making these findings accessible to all. To that end, we’ve launched a new way to engage with our work: audio briefs.
We’re starting the series with concise audio summaries of ongoing research projects. The first features insights from the Global Media Finances Map, focusing on Romania’s media sector—examining who owns, funds, and influences media in the country, and the consequences of these dynamics.
Each week, we plan to release a new audio summary, produced with the help of ElevenLabs. The process begins with condensing each report into a 2–3-minute script, which is then reviewed in Grammarly for clarity, grammar, and structure. Finally, the script is converted into AI-powered voice narration via ElevenLabs.
You can explore the audio summaries here.
