Eva Vajda Joins MJRC to Research Local Media in Captured Environments
Eva Vajda, a former award-winning investigative reporter in Hungary, has joined Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC) to conduct research as part of the center’s Media Funding Program, aimed at supporting independent media vulnerable to capture. At MJRC, Eva is conducting a research project aimed at mapping the needs and operations of local media outlets that operate in environments with a high level of capture.
Eva has a strong background in exposing corruption and misuse of power and is currently involved with the Thomson Foundation, whilst working in EU projects as a media development trainer and mentor.
Eva has also contributed her expertise to Amnesty International and conducted journalism workshops both online and offline in the CEE, the Western Balkan and in the countries of the former Soviet Union, including Russia and Belarus.
