The Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC), in collaboration with the Federal University of Espírito Santo in Brazil and OBSERVACOM, has published a report on current trends in media regulation and policy in Brazil. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the regulatory environment and identifies the key organizations and individuals influencing media policy in the country.

In addition to a detailed overview of legal developments in the media and communications sector, the study provides an analysis of the main regulatory authorities and other bodies involved in the Brazilian media policy process.

The study also describes the power dynamics surrounding the media policy establishment in Brazil, profiling and analyzing influential organizations such as Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), the public media company in Brazil, and key industry players such as The Globo Group, Silvio Santos Group and Bandeirantes Communication Group. On the other hand, the study lists and profiles some of the most influential civil society groups involved in the process, including the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, the National Federation of Journalists FENAJ, and NGOs such as Intervozes, DiraCom, Direitos na Rede, and Intercom.
