State Media Monitor Expands African Coverage
State Media Monitor, the project monitoring public and state media across the world run by the Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC), is expanding its country portfolio in Africa. As part of the 2024 update, State Media Monitor has added three countries in West Africa, namely Cape Verde, Mali and Sierra Leone, expanding its coverage to a total of 41 nations across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The media in the newly added country profiles can be searched geographically on the State Media Monitor website. The 2024 updated Sub-Saharan Africa list is now available.
In 2024, MJRC included in its analysis a batch of 13 new countries, enlarging the State Media Monitor coverage to a total of 170 countries. The launch of the 2024 State Media Monitor overview is slated for the end of September.
