Arabic Versions of Reports on EU Media Regulations and Policies Released
The Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC) is pleased to announce the release on its website of the Arabic versions of six studies that outline EU standards and best practices designed to inspire media policy in Lebanon. This initiative is part of the EU-funded “Support to Media Reform in Lebanon to Enhance Freedom of Expression” project, conducted in collaboration with Maharat and Legal Agenda, two prominent NGOs based in Lebanon. The project aims to facilitate policy-level media reform in Lebanon, thereby enhancing freedom of expression.
These reports, originally published in English, cover important topics such as the association and protection of journalists, journalism startups in Europe, modernization of media law, decriminalization of defamation, and EU media regulations. By making these reports available in Arabic, we aim to broaden their accessibility and impact, thereby supporting informed media reforms in Lebanon.
The reports are available online on the project page.
