Dragomir Speaks at Media Capture Conference in Prague
Marius Dragomir, the director of the Media and Journalism Research Center, spoke at a conference on media capture organized on 2 December 2022 in Prague. Hosted by the International Press Institute (IPI), the event gathered leading editors, journalists, media experts and representatives from media freedom organizations to discuss media capture and the need for a strong European Media Freedom Act (EMFA), to safeguard European democracy.
The event featured European Commission Vice President Vera Jourova who, along with Commissioner Thierry Breton, is responsible for the EMFA. Dragomir, author of a series of papers and articles on media capture, focused in his speech on the impact that capture has on journalism, media markets and audiences.
